BlinkEase (“the Application”) is developed and operated by Sandip Dahal (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

2. Summary of Our Privacy Approach
- No internet connection: BlinkEase operates entirely offline.
- No external data sharing: No data is transmitted or shared with third parties.
- On-device processing: All webcam and diagnostic data is processed and stored locally on your computer.
- Automatic data cleanup: Session data older than two (2) months is automatically deleted on application startup.
3. Types of Data Collected
3.1 Camera Data (Real-Time Processing)
- BlinkEase uses your computer’s webcam to detect facial landmarks and measure blink patterns.
- Important: This video feed is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
3.2 Session Summary Data (Stored Locally)
BlinkEase stores summary statistics of your usage sessions in a local SQLite database. This includes:
- Session start and end times
- Blink counts and classifications
- Eye rest durations and break durations
- Total, effective, and untracked durations
These records are stored only on your device and are automatically deleted after two (2) months.
3.3 Diagnostic Logs (Stored Locally)
- BlinkEase may create diagnostic logs to assist in troubleshooting.
- These logs remain on your device and are never sent to us or any third party.
4. Purposes of Data Collection
We collect and process data solely to:
- Calculate and display blink statistics
- Help you monitor and improve eye health habits
- Provide historical charts and usage insights
5. Data Storage and Retention
- All data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database and log files.
- Data older than two (2) months is automatically deleted on application startup.
- You may manually delete all data by removing the database and log files from your device.
6. Data Sharing
- We do not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties.
- BlinkEase does not use analytics services, cloud storage, or crash-reporting tools that send data externally.
7. Security Measures
We implement the following safeguards:
- All camera data is processed locally in real time and never stored.
- Stored data (session summaries and logs) is kept locally with no external transmission.
- No external servers are used, minimizing exposure to unauthorized access.
